Cerâmica S.Vicente

Cerâmica S. Vicente is a family studio, which has existed for 12 years in the S. Vicente neighborhood in Lisbon.

Come and be part of Cristina Pina's studio, where she works and sells as her pieces. Miguel, her son, joined to help with large orders and, after completing his training. Then he began to develop his own work in the studio.

In this workshop, traditional work is carried out. All details can be chosen and customized to the taste of our customers.

We chose to keep the traditional process. Everything is manual, from the tile, to the glazing, painting and finally cooking. All these phases take place in the studio and can be observed by those who visit us.

Azulejo is an important element of Portuguese culture that is happy to preserve and disseminate it.

We look forward to your visit!

Miguel Moura grew up among the tiles. He has always seen them, in the house where he lives and in the city where he was born.

He studied art and attended the Design course in Lisbon and the Ceramics course in Caldas da Rainha.

About 10 years ago he joined Cerâmica de S. Vicente where his specialty is tiles from the 15th century with Hispanic-Arab inspiration, and from the end of the 19th century, those from the large facades we see throughout the city of Lisbon.

One year ago he founded the Fachada31 project, which combines the art of tiles and another of your passions - skateboarding. It produces unique, decorative or utilitarian pieces, which aim to bring this traditional Portuguese art closer to the current values of lightness, mobility and upcycling.

At Cerâmica S. Vicente we preserve the traditional ways of making tiles.

Our hands go through all the stages of the production of the pieces, which allows us to customize the products to the taste of our customers.

The tiles differ according to their original times and can vary in themes, mixtures of clay, measures, thicknesses, shades of glass and painting techniques.

When you contact us we'll be happy to let you know about our options.
