Miguel first told us the history of Portuguese tiles with examples of different techniques, then taught us to make our stencils and finally we got to decorate the tiles. He is a great teacher, the workshop was fun and relaxing at the same time, and it is nice to have my own “home-made” tiles from Portugal.”

“Myself and my boyfriend had the most amazing afternoon/evening with Miguel and his girlfriend. Learning about the history of tiles really informed our trip to sintra the following day. Miguel is a very knowledgeable and talented artist and it was lovely seeing some of his work.
